As the People Operations Administrator at Paymerang, you will support core People Team operations and processes, ensure smooth on-the-ground execution of People programs, and help scale the efforts of the People and Culture team. You will serve as a trusted advisor, educator, active listener, and problem solver for employee issues and questions around payroll, benefits, and policies to support Paymerang’s best-in-class employee experience. You will get to work on significant project based work in addition to other duties as assigned. This role reports to the People Operations Manager.

Benefits
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of benefit programs. Collaborates with and directs program vendors to ensure proper administration and resolve issues. Drafts communications regarding benefits programs
- Conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and assist with development and implementation of new benefit programs and initiatives
- Oversee implementation of annual benefits enrollment process. Work with systems personnel to develop continuously improving automated enrollment processes and to maximize the usage of benefit processes through employee self-service. Prepares communication materials
- Ensure that the benefit programs are compliant with federal regulations including Medicare, ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act. Prepares and communicates reports, notices, and procedures appropriately
Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all company personnel (confirm bi-weekly pay, bonuses, deductions, etc.). Compile and submit payroll deductions related check requests and payments
- Identifies trends/anomalies in overtime, timecards, and communicates with management
- Manage enrollments and employee/employer contributions to 401k and HSA plans
- Answers questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
- Maintains current knowledge of IRS regulations
- Audit employee timesheets for hours worked and accuracy. Prepare payroll related journal entries for period-end
Compliance
- File annual state renewal reports
- Ensure full compliance with individual state payroll, leave, and other laws
- Complete annual federal compliance requirements including but not limited to: Form 5500, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, EEO-1, 1094/1095, 940/941, OSHA
- Ensure annual training is offered in Sexual and Workplace Harassment, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Emergency Response, Active Shooter, Workplace Safety
- Complete semi-annual SOC 2 Type II audit, annual HIPAA audit, annual PCI – DSS audit, and financial audits
- Conduct annual internal audits of Form I-9s, job descriptions, employee files, and worker’s compensation
- Administer FMLA and ADA leave and accommodation requests
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of experience in human resources or a related field, HR certification (SHRM, HRCI) preferred
- HR information systems experience (ADP preferred)
- General knowledge of HR process/compliance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple streams of information
- Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Comfort working cross-functionally with partnerships in multiple departments across the organization
- Comfort with data comprehension and storytelling
- Ability to drive process documentation, improvement, and change
- Desire to constantly examine efficiency and effectiveness of current processes and procedures
