Working as part of the Commercial Finance team to provide quality financial information for senior management within agreed timescales and legal requirements.What you'll be doing
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Financial Accountant within our Plugsurfing division and is located in Berlin. In this role, you will have full accountability of your responsibility areas and work closely with the rest of the Finance team to ensure high-quality accounting data to support business decisions and meet the company’s compliance requirements. You will be responsible for the Accounts Receivables for Plugsurfing GmbH and Plugsurfing BV and ensure correct and timely sales invoicing from complex B2B deals. Also, you will assist the month end works, weekly credit reporting and preparation of VAT filings for 26 international registrations of Plugsurfing GmbH, payments allocation process and reporting of outgoing credit exposure / aging balances for B2B and B2C customers.
You will report to the Team Lead Accounting and regularly collaborate with the Finance team and other departments.
How We Work
As a Financial Accountant you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment (on average 2 days home office vs 3 days in office presence).

Job Responsibilities
- Raising sales invoices in ERP D365 under consideration of VAT rules
- Ensuring full Tax compliancy in your responsibility areas
- Leading the statutory monthly closing process and validation of the financial data
- Working closely with the rest of the Finance Team to ensure high-quality monthly financial information
- Allocating payments of the incoming customers payments
- Preparing the data for monthly VAT declarations for international for submission to our external tax partner
- Taking the lead on the regular credit reporting for B2C and B2B customers
- Developing and maintaining accounting processes together with the finance team to meet company targets and compliance requirements
- Participating and supporting the Plugsurfing audit activities and development projects
- Supporting the Finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
- Drive continuous improvement of our ERP D365
Qualifications & Skills
- You are fluent in English (at least B2 level), German is an additional asset
- You are an experienced Financial Accountant with a proven history of delivering and maintaining accurate and compliant accounting performance
- You have worked with accounts receivables and sales invoicing process
- You have reasonable understanding of different accounting standards (e.g. US GAAP, IFRS, German GAAP etc)
- You have strong accounting skills and a can-do attitude with attention to details
- Our main ERP is Dynamics D365 so experience with Dynamics, Navision or Business Central is very beneficial
- An understanding of indirect (VAT) taxation with German and/ other countries VAT is a very strong asset
- You have high accuracy when working with data
- You have a strong tolerance to uncertainty and adaptation to a quickly changing work environment
- You are energetic, resourceful, and do what it takes to get the job done
- Other ERP experiences are welcome
- All professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, Bilanzbuchhalter) are very welcome and a strong plus
