Shared Services Staff Accountant
Corpay^ is seeking to recruit a Shared Services Staff Accountant. As a key member of the finance and accounting team, the successful candidate will participate in responsibilities of the company's Shared Services Accounting Department and assist with close responsibilities with our global subsidiaries as well as work on key initiatives relating to critical processes. The ideal candidate should be motivated, a self-starter, detailed-oriented, strong in accounting concepts have a willingness to learn and be a team player.
Key Relationships
Location: Brentwood, Tennessee (4 days in office)
Other Relationships: Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, Divisional Controllers and Business teams, Corporate departments such as Treasury, Tax and Payables
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end close activities, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, inter-company elimination process, expense accruals, prepaid amortization, lease accounting, fixed assets and account reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close in accordance with company policies and controls
- Support the timely inter-company balancing between our global accounting teams
- Assist with quarterly reporting deliverables and other management reporting as needed
- Continually evaluate and optimize month-end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracy.
- Develop/enhance, implement and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business.
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
- Partner with and liaison with other departments on resolving month-end close questions and while working on strategic initiatives
- Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

- Excellent Excel skills
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 0 to 1 years of experience in accounting roles
