POSITION DESCRIPTION
In this dynamic role, you will operate as a Hybrid Device Clinician, balancing your responsibilities between in-clinic visits and remote device management. Your primary focus will be on patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). This role requires traveling to our client's offices for in-clinic device interrogations, where you will conduct thorough assessments directly with patients.
Additionally, you will utilize Rhythm’s proprietary software to monitor patients remotely. This dual approach ensures comprehensive patient care and effective device management. Your expertise in cardiac electrophysiology and biomedical engineering will be crucial in evaluating the technical functions of CIEDs. You will also analyze and interpret both device data and patient diagnostics to support optimal treatment outcomes.

IN-CLINIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Device Interrogations: Conduct in-office and in-person interrogations at client locations, ensuring accurate assessments and thorough data collection.
- Communication Management: Assist with managing communications through the client’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR), including scheduling adjustments and addressing same-day no-shows.
- MRI Device Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of MRI-compatible devices, presenting relevant information to providers for patient approvals and MRI scheduling.
- AV Optimization: Skilled in performing AV optimizations in-office, ensuring procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
- Vendor Navigation: Proficient in navigating systems and tools provided by the four main vendors in the industry.
REMOTE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Device Interrogations: Perform remote device interrogations, ensuring continuity of care and monitoring.
- Remote Monitoring Enrollment: Skilled in enrolling patients in remote monitoring programs and educating them on the specifics and benefits of remote monitoring.
- Comprehensive Evaluations: Integrate knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, and cardiac device function to perform competent evaluations and diagnostic reviews through remote monitoring.
- Abnormal Function Recognition: Recognize and address abnormal functions in pacemakers, defibrillators, implantable loop recorders (ILRs), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, proposing strategies to rectify issues.
- Clinical Communication: Effectively communicate with Rhythm’s clinical team and providers regarding Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) function and diagnostic data, ensuring documentation is accurate, professional, and standardized.
- Data Analysis and Management: Analyze device functionality and patient data to diagnose and manage device performance, ensuring optimal outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or associate degree required OR experience in a related field—nursing, medicine, electronics, or engineering.
- Successful completion of a cardiac device rhythm management course or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of recent implanted cardiac device management experience with knowledge of all manufacturer programmers.
- 3+ years cardiology experience, cardiac electrophysiology preferred.
- Experience with interrogating and interpreting device diagnostics for all four major manufacturers (Medtronic, Abbott/St. Jude, Boston Scientific, Biotronik).
- Experience in performing AV-Optimizations under the guidance of a provider
- Cardiac rhythm management industry training and experience preferred.
- Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) required prior to employment commencement date.
- Additional preferred certifications—Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certifications (CCDS, CEPS, CDRMS) also preferred, prior to employment date.
- Proficiency with collaboration applications and software (Microsoft Office Suite, Teams).
HIGHLIGHTS
- Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $62,400 to $74,880 annually, based on location and experience, with additional potential for individual performance bonuses.
- Employment Type: Full-time position with comprehensive benefits. Part-time and contract roles are also available for those interested in flexible working arrangements.
- Hybrid Work Model: Required in-clinic attendance every Monday and every other Thursday, with the potential for in-clinic days to grow. Remote work is scheduled for other weekdays to accommodate flexibility.
- Work Schedule: Standard business hours are 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with slight variations depending on the in-clinic schedule, ensuring a work-life balance.
