Director of IT & Security:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of IT & Security (ISO) to lead our information technology and security operations. The Director of IT & Security role is crucial for ensuring the organization's technology infrastructure and security measures are robust, efficient, and aligned with industry regulations and best practices. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of IT operations, cybersecurity, and healthcare technology trends. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with our business goals, ensures patient data security and HIPAA compliance, and fosters a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Information Security and Compliance:
o Establish and maintain a robust information security program to protect the company's data, systems, and networks from cyber threats.
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as HIPAA, HITRUST
o Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines, including access controls, data encryption, and incident response plans.
o Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
· IT Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's long-term goals and objectives.
o Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the healthcare technology industry.
o Plan and oversee the implementation of new IT systems, applications, and infrastructure upgrades.
· IT Operations and Infrastructure Management:
o Oversee the company's IT operations, including servers, networks, cloud infrastructure, and end-user computing environments.
o Manage the IT team, provide leadership and guidance, and ensure efficient resource allocation and project prioritization.
o Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system availability and data integrity.
o Monitor and optimize IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
· Vendor and Partner Management:
o Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
o Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure compliance with established terms and conditions.
o Collaborate with vendors and partners to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and technology enhancements.
· Budget and Resource Management:
o Develop and manage the IT and security department's annual budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost optimization.
o Analyze and justify IT investments, evaluating their potential impact on business operations and return on investment (ROI).
o Identify and implement cost-effective solutions and strategies to optimize IT and security expenditures.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong background in information security and healthcare technology.
· Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and NIST frameworks.
· Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, HITRUST, or equivalent are highly desirable.
· Proven experience in AWS, Active Directory, Azure, and other enterprise IT technologies.
· Proven expertise in IT strategy development, infrastructure management, cybersecurity practices, and regulatory compliance.
· Experience in managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation
· Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Solid understanding of Windows, Mac, Linux OS
· Prior experience working in the healthcare industry is an added advantage.
